The Toyota looks to be in very nice condition despite it’s age. So everyone says Toyotas but the Hyundai’s you can buy much much newer for the same price. My friend who knows about cars tested the Hyundai and it seems to have a strong engine, drove great.

I want something that I can take on the highway and on dirt roads. I don’t intend to do any MAJOR offroading I just want something I can be a little more rugged with. I would also use it for commuting to work though. I want something that is cheap, reliable, not expensive to maintain or repair, gets good gas milage (better than 25/gal), something not too old and that I won’t have to replace the transmission in etc. I’m intending to put a lot of miles on it. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!
Sincerely
A girl in Need.

Looking for a car to take me to school and home. Want a reliable and good gas mileage car. I want it used of course and will only have at the most 3900 to spend on the car. I was wondering what kind of car should I be looking at? For example a Honda, Pontiac, Saturn… and if you could even be real specific and give me a year that had little to no problems and has good gas mileage… so basically a car that is reliable with good gas mileage. (good gas mileage is 23 +)

I need a get a used car (up to $4000) that would get god gas mileage and be a reliable, safe car to travel 400+ miles per week.
I was thinking of a Corolla or a Camry but any ideas based on experience would be great!!!!

I am hoping that somebody might have done some extensive homework on this subject and provide some hard numbers rather than just an opinion.

I am leaning towards a Honda Civic but there are several models to choose – do any of them get any better mileage than another?

I drive 50 miles a day mostly on highways in stop and go traffic where speeds are less then 30mph. Would a prius be good in this situation? Looking for something safe, comfortable, reliable and gets really good gas mileage. I’m currently considering only honda and toyota because of their reliability. I’m leaning towards the prius but am concerned about battery and maintainance issues. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Not looking for something to hold tons of people or stuff, not a “family car”.. Just an adequate, commuter car.
