Pros and Cons of Living in a Dorm vs. Living with Parents and Commuting to College?

Also, are people who live in dorms allowed to have cars?
It’s an hour only driving to. It would be two hours driving to and from.

I will be commuting on my own for the first time tomorrow, is there anything I need to know?

I am half way across the state (Massachusetts), and need to my destination by 8am. I have to switch lines like 4 times, but that should be fine. I already looked at the schedule and I have to leave by 5:15am.. The only thing I am worried about is if I mess up the inbound and outbound trains and get on the wrong one. lol

But besides that, am I good, or is there anything I need to know?

The Toyota looks to be in very nice condition despite it’s age. So everyone says Toyotas but the Hyundai’s you can buy much much newer for the same price. My friend who knows about cars tested the Hyundai and it seems to have a strong engine, drove great.

Ok, some background first. I’m a freshmen and i went away (still am) to school, and i absolutly **** it. I have decided just to come home and commute to a university thats 10 min. away from my house (its a great school, not just an community college) and get a job for spring semester. Instead of just sitting in my dorm room, since i’m ‘no fun’ what people have told me here at college since i dont drink. Is it losing if i commute?
