I have my second round of interviews coming up with a company in Chicago. I live in Merrillville, IN which is considered part of the greater Chicagoland region. If I get the job, I plan to probably take the South Shore to Millenium Station, and then the #20 (Madison, I think) bus over to where I work. I was looking into the CTA trains, but there aren’t any stops close to where I would be (near corner of W. Washinton Blvd. and N. Sangamon St.). Is this area considered the Loop? Or the west loop? I’m still learning more about the regions. What is crime like? Cost? What is it like commuting daily to Chicago? I’ve ridden the South Shore before, but only in the afternoon and evening. I’ve heard it can be very busy during rush hours. How is the bus system? Tips, suggestions, encouragements? I’m pretty excited. I find Chicago a bit intimidating but I really like the city and the few times I’ve been there over the past few years have been good. Plus, you can’t beat Gino’s East or Giordano’s!
I forgot to mention… I would be driving to and parking at the East Chicago South Shore station.
The job will consist of 3D modeling and probably some 3D animation as well. These kinds of jobs are only found in larger cities… so Chicago is really my only option at the moment (at least until it becomes a possibility to move closer or to another city). As for money… at least my income will be combined with my boyfriend (hoping we get engaged soon) and I expect to make at the very least 45K or more a year. The train tickets- you can buy a monthly pass that saves you a lot of money. As for the bus, I haven’t looked into that possibility of a monthly pass with that yet.

Sirena asked:

My car sucks, and I can’t depend on it to get me there, and furthermore, my carpool situation didn’t work out.

My second job is there, and I have to find a way there… but I can’t find any inter-city buses. How do I get from one city to another?

Thank you if you can help me.
I know someone who’s gonna help me out! Hope it’ll work out.

m123 asked:

I am a senior in High School right now and I am applying for some schools like Monmouth University, Saint John`s University and Seton Hall university. My first choice without doubt is Seton Hall.

If I get accepted I will be commuting and it will be about a 45 min drive there and 45 min back. Would this affect my school work in college? Also I would like to know if you can make your own schedule and how many days a week would I be at school? Thanks for the Help.

Are there any safer neighborhoods within commuting distance of Suitland, Maryland?

dirynzindran asked:

I’m most likely going to be working in Suitland, Maryland for my job in the US Navy. However, looking into the neighborhood, the crime rates and reputation make it not a place I really want to live, let alone have my family live. Are there any other neighborhoods that are safer to live in within commuting distance (half hour to an hour)?

I will be visiting, 1990 Rutger’s University Blvd., Lakewood, NJ 08701 from Liberty Intl Airport (LIA). Can anybody please let me know if there is any taxi cab service/s that goes on contract/long-distance rate to the above place from LIA? Also, the expected fair and any other convenient and cheaper mode of transportation or commuting (excluding car renting).

I will be travelling from Canada soon. I need an earliest response please.

Thank you in advance.
